Introduction: The World Health Organization declared on January 30, 2020 a health contingency due to COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2. Highly transmissible by fluids and contaminated surfaces, causing 326,085 deaths in Mexico by July 2022. Taken biosecurity measures for pediatric dentistry were the following; Priority for emergency patients and avoiding aerosol contact. Immunizations in adolescents and those over 5 years of age began in March 2022 and are still underway, so the entire child population has not been vaccinated. Children present mild symptoms, may be asymptomatic and generally do not develop severe conditions, however can transmit the virus. Thus considering the evolution of biosafety in Pediatric Dentistry after vaccination against COVID-19 to be important, for which this literature review was carried out. Have Biosafety measures in Pediatric Dentistry changed during the pandemic? Literature Review: A search of the information was carried out in the databases: Google Scholar and PudMed, to know the recent data. Finding 12 bibliographic reviews detailing biosafety protocols for patient and staff safet, persisting emphasis on personal protective equipment, minimal intervention care protocols, avoiding aerosols, and emergency care. Video calls have also been relevant in the preventive aspect, considering that currently child patients continue to spread the virus. Conclusions: Biosafety measures in pediatric dentistry are still underway considering the child patient as a potential transmitter of COVID-19 SARS-CoV-2. Preventive education measures through virtual meetings have been a frequently used resource.
