Odontological community in the context of health in your school: Pandemic territorial attention mode

Abstract

Introduction: In the year 2021 the commune of Recoleta implemented the strategy of health in your school that born as the result of the interaction with the vigilance commitment teams of children health in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic. This experience gives a quality attention to girls, boys, teenagers and their families through a strategy of collaborative work and inter-sectorial alliance with primary health attention and the educational establishments. Objective: The strategy search maximize the universal offer of services according to the vital circle, increase the preventive search, optimize the derivations, strengthen the actions and promotions for health and give continue attention from the family health centers in the territory. Method: The odontological team is part of the territorial deployment of health in your school in the context of popular children's dentist, strategy in charge to give community attention to the population in the program “Sembrando sonrisas” (Sowing smiles), to treat injuries made by cavities with Atraumatic Restorative technique (ART). Results: Health in your school made attentions in 12 establishments, and 2296 boys and girls were evaluated in healthy control. From these evaluations, 468 boys and girls were derivate for suspect cavities to the popular dentist, in which 443 kids were treated focus in the minimum invasive and the ART technique. Conclusions: Health in your school is a strategy that allows to the popular children's dentist give integral odontological attention in educational establishments in the community context in the 2021 year.
