Introduction: Auriculotherapy is a Chinese medicine practice that involves the stimulation of specific points in the pinna capable of promoting a state of balance in the human body. In children with disabilities, including developmental, neurodevelopmental and anxiety disorders, Auriculotherapy is presented as a complementary treatment, improving the well-being and quality of life of these individuals. Objective: The objective of this study is to report the dental care of an 11-year-old female patient who arrived at the Clinic for Patients with Special Needs of the Dental School of Ribeirão Preto (FORP/USP) in need of dental treatment. Case report: The patient was diagnosed with Alobar Holoprosecefalia and other pathologies. After a complete anamnesis, extra and intraoral clinical evaluation and radiographic examinations, the treatment plan was defined, which included previous auriculotherapy, oral hygiene instructions and guidelines for the person in charge, removal of coronary residues, supragingival scaling and dental prophylaxis. In view of the conditions of anxiety and drooling present, Auriculotherapy was indispensable, as it reduced the levels of these effects, providing safer and more effective clinical care. Conclusions: Finally, the use of integrative and complementary practices in the dental care of people with disabilities is a non-invasive, low-cost, successful and safe alternative for the patient.
