Use of rotary systems in primary dentition. Report of a clinical case.

Introduction: Rotary systems are a system of nickel-titanium alloy files used in root canal treatment in pediatric dentistry. They are an excellent alternative to the manual system because they offer several advantages such as: less instrumentation time, better canal conformation, greater patient cooperation, less fatigue and better obturation quality. Objective: It is important to make a correct diagnosis based on the classification of pulp pathologies, supported by diagnostic aids such as clinical examination, vitality tests and radiographic examination. Case report: Female patient 6 years 2 months old, diagnosed with uncomplicated sinus arrhythmia, who attends the clinic of Child and Adolescent Stomatology with the presence of pulp necrosis and asymptomatic apical periodontitis of lower right second molar which is indicated to receive pulpectomy treatment.
Conclusions: It is of great importance that as pediatric dentists we are able to make a correct diagnosis of pulp pathologies in order to establish the correct treatment, as well as to use materials that help us to reduce working time and therefore generate a pleasant and satisfactory consultation for our patients.
