Abstract

Introduction: Asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis is pulp inflammation without the ability to recover and with the absence of acute symptoms. In some cases, hyperplasia may occur, characterized by an increase in granulation tissue covered by highly vascularized stratified squamous epithelium, resulting from prolonged irritation. The indicated treatment is pulpectomy, which we can currently perform with the support of rotary systems, achieving greater efficiency in cleaning and shaping the duct system, as well as a significantly shorter preparation time compared to manual instrumentation. Case presentation:  The objective of this work is to present the treatment of an apparently healthy 6-year-old female patient, who came to the clinic presenting an irreversible asymptomatic hyperplastic pulpitis in dental organ 75. Behavioral management guaranteed the patient's cooperation, so the pulpectomy using rotary systems, with clinical and radiographic follow-up for two weeks afterwards, concluding the rehabilitation with a chrome steel crown. Conclusions: Asymptomatic irreversible pulpitis with hyperplastic characteristics is a pathology that must be treated quickly and effectively once it is diagnosed and rotary systems are a useful tool to optimally perform the pulpectomy treatment, without forgetting the importance of follow-up. clinical and radiographic that ensures the clinical success of pulp treatment.
