Abstract

Hyperplastic pulpitis is a productive inflammation of the pulp due to extensive carious exposure in young teeth characterized by granulation tissue sometimes covered with epithelium resulting from prolonged and low-intensity irritation. Currently, the high risk of caries in young patients and the presence of structural defects such as the HMI are leading to coronal destruction, chronic pulp exposure and low-intensity irritation, making this pathology increasingly common. CASE REPORT 9-year-old female patient, apparently healthy, with a high risk of caries.  Frankl 3, IPDB: 89% Diagnosis: Tooth 46 with hyperplastic pulpitis and Tooth 36 4th caries with perforated furcation  TREATMENT PLAN: Complete pulp therapy on tooth 46 and Extraction with placement of a space maintainer on tooth 36. CONCLUSION The increase in caries at an early age and the effects of enamel is leading to an increase in pulp pathologies at an early age such as hyperplastic pulpitis. Late diagnosis and care of these pathologies can cause premature loss of said teeth and in turn cause malocclusions. and dysfunctions at the maxillomandibular level.
