Educational program for early childhood care

Abstract

Introduction: The Educational Program for Early Childhood Care has been a fundamental component in the training of students in the Specialization in Pediatric and Adolescent Stomatology. Objective: To train mothers and/or caregivers in oral care from early stages. Project presentation: The program promotes the early diagnosis of caries and a non-invasive behavioral approach, fostering lasting habits that enhance children’s health and well-being. Conclusion: The program has succeeded in changing students’ perception regarding the cornerstone of pediatric dentistry: education and prevention.
