Abstract

Introduction: Life is formed by a set of values, among which ethics assumes a transcendental role for the human being that encompasses different topics, among which education has a primordial place, therefore, the development of the ethical dimension must be considered a significant part of education, especially among pediatric dentistry residents, among all Ethical dilemmas can be present throughout your training and professional process. In this framework, the ethics lesson constitutes a guide that will define the performance of future pediatric dentists, therefore, the lesson on ethical values is indispensable to help them make decisions from a moral point of view. The clinical training of pediatric dentists constitutes a fundamental instance to transmit these values, which must be integrated and evaluated appropriately in their professional practice. In this context, the role of the pediatric dentist teacher as an educator is essential for the ethical training of pediatric dentistry residents, which involves the delivery of ethical values or the incorporation of ethics into the specialty curriculum. Objective: To reflect on the importance of ethics in pediatric dentistry education.
